Guidance for Parents
Most parents are told to “practice more” — but not what to practice, how to practice effectively, or how to recognize what is actually helping.
The 15-Minute Literacy Practice Program was intentionally developed through structured literacy expertise, the Orton-Gillingham approach, professional experience, and lived parent experience to provide the kind of clarity, guidance, and practical support many families wish they had access to much earlier in their child’s learning journey.
This guided, assessment-driven parent program helps families move beyond confusion, overwhelm, and trial-and-error by teaching parents how to confidently support reading and spelling development at home through short, structured daily practice. Parents learn how to build manageable 15-minute literacy routines that strengthen reading and spelling skills through consistent, purposeful repetition — increasing the number of accurate, meaningful practice opportunities children receive each week and helping build stronger, more lasting literacy progress over time.
